Carbon Management Solutions (CMS) was established in 2002, after company directors, Cameron and Amber Ferguson identified a large gap in the renewable energy market. This prompted them to conduct a field trip worldwide researching solar power technology and solar panel installation processes. Their research showed that Australia lagged behind in solar power technology and upgrades to electricity distribution.
Equipped with this information, CMS sought to simplify the process of solar panel installations for Australian consumers and began exclusively distributing Solar Enertech solar panels, which they still do today.
Since 2002 CMS has grown from a home based business with 2 employees to a multi-million dollar parent company with 76 employees (including Aussie Solar their NSW arm). Now one of Australia's leading wholesalers of solar power panels and inverters, CMS is well respected within the solar power industry.
CMS's new headquarters boast state of the art research and development facilities, which invest heavily in innovative solar power technology in Australia. Most recently CMS have designed a range of smart inverters (produced and tested according to Australian standards) which allow consumers to log onto the Internet to see their energy production and consumption at any time. These will be available May 2011..
CMS sells direct to both the consumer and solar panel installers and aims to foster and promote the solar power industry - an industry that is essential to a sustainable future.
